God Fearing Woman, Wife and Mother’s advice

So, here goes the mentor (my calling) in me:

How to acclimatise yourself in extreme situations so you can excel at every level:

  1. Understand and identify the motivation behind your dream/calling/vision. Never chase the fame, wealth and beauty as it is an extrinsic factor to the “why” you are doing this. These things are fun and the attention will only last for a short while. It’s kind of like drinking salt water when you are thirsty.
  2. Always live in integrity of your values. Be true to who the “you” is. If you don’t know then try new things, experiment, step outside of the triangle and crack the comfort zone, only then will you know what you stand for.
  3. Become comfortable with the uncomfortable. Read Comfortably Uncomfortable (Live your purpose) Always challenge yourself, you will be surprised at the results and what you are capable of when you are put in an awkward position.
  4. Take the road less travelled…..if your soul screams for the path, then take it.
  5. Combine your talent/strengths with your passion. Cultivate the crap out of your strengths. You will slowly but surely notice the sense of confidence and fulfilment you will experience and see what happens. Don’t focus on your weaknesses, fix it but don’t turn your complete focus to it.
  6. Do not seek validation from anyone and do not pretend to be someone for the sake of others. This creates inner conflict and what I mentioned about living in the integrity of your values, if you don’t, not knowing who you are will surely take it’s toll. The less you look for approval and acceptance, the more you will find.

Starting the process:

  1. Start (This is the most uncomfortable, kind of like a diet 🙂 )
  2. Don’t quit (Remind yourself that you made a decision, no excuses)
  3. Push yourself past your comfort zone (Be willing to explore new things)
  4. Embrace the sucky stuff (Do the things you are not use to, it will help you gain knowledge and experience)
  5. Surround yourself with like-minded people (Create a support network, talk about experiences. Believe me even your network of people have uncomfortable stories to share)
  6. Recognize your improvements (Track your progress, impact you have on others and the change in your confidence etc.)
  7. Rinse
  8. Repeat (Repetition is the mother of learning – this is an old Russian saying) The more you do it, the better you become at it

During Change, remember that it is almost always necessary, most people can’t do it as they prefer the comfort over uncertainty. It will always pass.

How to find your passion, like minded people and live the purpose:

  1. List what you love and connect the dots
  2. Identify what you do with ease (Don’t overlook the things that are easy for you, build on your strengths and help other’s do that too)
  3. Look at your past (use your experience to help other’s)
  4. Play like a child (Let your imagination run wild, let your heart guide you, become dreamy and tap into your inner child, think with your heart, that passion
  5. Do what makes you happy….Do every single thing
  6. Network (Very important, find your kind of people with purpose and reach your common goal, there is enough room for everyone to reap from it)
  7. Ask others for help (And help others)

How do you know you are not living your purpose and maximising your potential:

  1. You don’t wake up excited in the morning
  2. You have high highs and really low lows
  3. Your life is not fulfilling you anymore
  4. You surround yourself iwith people who are demotivating and negative
  5. You are ignoring your passion and vision because you are scared to move on
  6. You are in a job that just depletes you of energy
  7. You feel like you are running a rat race and stuck in it and don’t know what the next step is

Living your purpose is essential. If this is not accomplished, you will never be fulfilled.

Remember to always do things for “you”, no one else….not your parents, siblings, friends or family members. Self validation is the only thing that matters, do not project the insecurities off relationships, this simply means you are still seeking for external validation.

Creativity leads to passion and passion leads to purpose

I wish I could start this introduction of myself on a perky note, however I am a realist, my life was something meant for a horror movie......ok maybe I'm exaggerating, however no child should have to experience this. I can however tell you this, I am a God serving and God fearing woman and I stand to tell my story with rejoice in my heart because as God has lead Joseph to his victory, even though he lived some of his years in suffering. So did I live mine, but He is leading me to my victory, through all my trials and triumphs He has guided me from terrible to worse times and now He leads me from victory to victory. I live with no regrets as that was my path I had to take to get to know My Lord God, Saviour and Redeemer. Now brace yourselves for my truth.............
